Lake Rules

 

These rules are intended to help the Chapter maintain a safe and enjoyable time for all Members when using the lake area.  Your cooperation is appreciated.

 

1.     Membership - All Members must display their membership cards while at the lake.

2.     Activities - No swimming, wading or ice-skating are allowed at any time.

3.     Trash - The lake is a “No Trash” area.  All trash must be removed upon exiting the property.

4.     Boats - No boats or other flotation devices are permitted in the lake except for special activities approved by the Board of Directors.

5.     Camping - Camping is permitted.  No camping is permitted under the pavilion.

6.     Fires – Open fires are permitted ONLY in designated fire pits located at the pavilion, the pier and the campsite at the north end of the lake. Fire safety MUST be observed including no excessively large fires, all fires must be attended and all fires must be extinguished prior to the Member leaving the lake area. No fires are allowed during dry or windy conditions. State or County fire bans must be followed.

7.     Fishing – Members and guests are permitted to fish without a state license. Creel limit for trout is three (3) fish per day. Bass are catch and release only.

8.     Release of Wildlife - No wildlife may be released in the lake area without prior approval of the Lake Chairman.

9.     Gate - The gate must be closed and locked upon entering and leaving with the combination set to 0000.  Exceptions will be made with prior approval from the Board of Directors for special events.

10.  Gate Access - Members who supply the combination of the gate, keys or pass cards to non-members (including their own children) will be subject to cancellation of their Chapter membership.

11. Guests - Only five (5) guests per Member are allowed unless authorized by the Board of Directors or the Lake Chairman.

12.  Bridge - No running or jumping on bridge.  No more than four people on the bridge at any time.

13.  Debris in lake - No rocks, sticks or other material is to be thrown into the lake.

14.  Firearms - No firearms, air guns,  slingshots, bows, paint balls or similar items are allowed at any time.

15.  Archery - Archery equipment may only be used in connection with hunting activities authorized by the Grounds Chairman.   

16. Motorized Vehicles - Only road legal licensed vehicles are permitted. No ATV’s, go carts, dirt bikes or similar vehicles are allowed.

17.  Use of Facilities - The use of the pavilion, picnic areas, fire pits and other facilities is on a first come first served basis. Exceptions may be made for prearranged activities approved by the Board of Directors or Lake Chairman.

18.  Pets - Pets are permitted but must be under the control of the owner. The owner must remove all waste.

19.  Members Under 18 - No Member under the age of 18 is allowed at the lake unless accompanied by a Member 21 years of age or older.

20.  Members Under 21 - No Member under the age of 21 is allowed at the lake between dusk and dawn unless accompanied by a Member 21 years of age or older.

21.  Minors - Members supplying alcohol or illegal substances to minors will be subject to cancellation of their Chapter membership and be subject to any and all applicable laws.

22.  Rules Violations - Members in violation of the lake rules will be asked to leave the area and will be subject to cancellation of their Chapter membership. 

23.  Reporting - All violations of these rules will be reported to the Board of Directors and the Lake Chairman.

24.   Laws - All State and County laws pertaining to alcohol, drugs, firearms and fireworks are applicable.  Members in violation of State or County laws will be prosecuted.
