Welcome to the Web site of the IWLA -
Rockville Chapter, one of the 350 local chapters that make up the national
organization; Izaak Walton League of America. We're a diverse group of women
and men dedicated to the ideals of our national organization; to conserve,
maintain, protect and/or restore the soils, air, woods, waters and wildlife of
our country. We are one of thirteen chapters, making up the Maryland Division,
offering our grassroots support for a commonsense approach to solving local,
state, and national conservation issues. Our members interests span the
spectrum of outdoor recreation and conservation activities, from
canoeing/kayaking water sports and firearms safety training to stream,
wildlife, and forestry management programs. But, like our fellow Ikes around
the country, we all share one major goal: to protect, manage and use America's
rich resources to ensure a high quality of life for all people. Want to find

Your Maryland representative and Montgomery County Council would like to hear from you, and we need your support to let our elected officials know these issues are important to their constituents. WRITE, CALL, OR E-MAIL TODAY! Tell your representatives how you feel about their legislative proposals. Your views can make a difference! State your purpose for writing/calling, be courteous and to the point, and include specific information about how the issues affects you.
